libgeos-3.5.0 software package provides Geometry engine for Geographic Information Systems - C++ Library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgeos-3.5.0
libgeos-3.5.0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgeos-3.5.0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgeos-3.5.0 *
